Kari Samantha (born on April 28 on 1967) Wuhrer is an American singer and actress. She began her professional career as a teenager. She is recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and also as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a automobile salesman. Her family has given her three brothers. When she was young, Wuhrer sang at nightclubs, and then went on to sing. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School from the age of 13, she was a drama student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. Born on April 28 the 28th of April, 1967 in Brookfield Connecticut. Her mother works as a payroll accountant and her father, a German-American, is a police officer and car salesman. Kari has three siblings. As a teenager her nightclub performances were a highlight in secret, escaping to take a break. Kari aged 13 years old, attended the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College college, and also at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which she was taught by a professor known for her work as Uta. Kari started acting in her teens, with her first break on television coming from 1987's MTV Remote Control.
