Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American musician, producer and singer also writes. She was best known as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has also produced the show, directed it and even starred in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. In addition, she appeared in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson is the daughter of a psychiatrist and the wife of Diane Benson was born in Birmingham Alabama on January 8 1977. Danielle is her sister who is also an artist. Benson's father was Jewish as was her mother was a Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Her family was raised going to a Reform church in Alabama. Benson's career has continued to flourish after the conclusion of Buffy. She appeared in films like The Killing Jar, and shows like Morganville The Series. Her creative talents are utilized on Ghosts of Albion, and she directed Drones (2010). Buffy says that around 1800 Slayers exist across the globe with 500 who are members of the Scooby Gang. Slayers are active once they are old enough to be a Slayer. Soledad for example became an Slayer when she was 16.
