Meagan Good's maternal grandmother Tyra was just a teenager at the time she was employed in Panorama City as a manager and father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman from LAPD. She was raised with her three siblings at home in Canyon Country in California and began acting in the age of four. At the beginning of her career she appeared as an actor on programs on television like Doogie Howser Amen or M.D. At the age of thirteen, she was cast as the character Friday in the year 1995. First gaining attention in 1997 with her performance as Cisely batiste (a troubled teenage girl) on Eve's Bayou, for which she received two nominations, as well as an N.A.A.C.P. Image Award nomination. Good started with small roles on film and on TV for a few years after which she moved on to more mature roles at the start of the 2000s. The series on Hulu called If I Can Dream is centered around the lives of a bunch of artists who reside in Hollywood California.
