Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on April 16th, 1996, in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. Her father is an Argentine with Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's previous marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until she turned six, when the family moved to Victoria in London. According to Taylor-Joy the relocation was difficult and she refused to learn English to the hope of moving back to Argentina. She had to switch schools from Northlands and then Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. When she was 16, she quit school in order to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy's ambition to become an actor began in the early years of her life. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first person who hired her as a professional model.
